Where can a temporary kitchen actually go? Real homes, real spaces
Driveways, garages, garden rooms and side returns, a look at the spaces that work well for temporary kitchen hire at home.
One of the first questions we are asked is the most practical one: where does the temporary kitchen actually go? The honest answer is that almost every home has an option, you just need to look at it the right way.
Driveways are the most common. They sit close to the main house, are usually flat, and let our installation team work tidily without disturbing the main building works inside. If your driveway is shared, a quick conversation with neighbours is usually all that is needed.
Garages and garden rooms work well for longer hire periods, particularly through colder months. They offer shelter, easy access and a calmer setting for cooking somewhere that feels a little more like a real room.
Side returns, paved patios and the corner of a garden are also viable. We will always discuss access, ground conditions and power before recommending a setup, so the kitchen feels stable, level and easy to live with from day one.
Every home is different. Our job is to look at your space sensibly and recommend the option that gives you the calmest possible renovation experience.
